This delightful adaptation of the beloved fable and the award-winning musical is a heartwarming celebration of what makes us special.
Adapted for young performers, and with a score by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe (Mary Poppins), Honk! JR. is a heartwarming celebration of being different that is sure to delight audiences of all ages with its sparkling wit, unique charm and memorable score. Witty and hilarious, but also deeply moving, Honk! JR. will treat your audiences to equal amounts of laughter and tears.
Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother's protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry Cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out being different is not a bad thing to be.

Reviews
My wife and were at your opening yesterday and were, along with hundreds of others, thoroughly entertained by the show. I don't know how you do it...to be so consistent with quality, with costumes, sets, and lights, with singing, dancing, and acting. How rewarding this must be for all of you, how proud you must all be of the hundreds of hours you have invested in this production, to see it finally pay off with happy, excited audiences. All that work, and now all the positive responses. As a friend of mine used to say, "Now you can bask in the accolades."...Here is one mark of a good director, a professional director...there was never a dead stage. Whenever someone was exciting, someone else was entering, and usually on the other side of the stage. It's rare to see that in school plays, and I've seen thousands of them. Mrs. Northcott is not your average director and not your average teacher, and I'm sure her students know that and are ardent in their appreciation and affection for her. She's a very gifted lady.

Hannah,
You have done it again! I saw last night's show and it was fabulous! In comparison to other school plays that I have seen or have taken part in, this was AMAZING and puts the rest to shame! You are really gifted in directing and teaching drama to the students! The students really shined last night and it was so wonderful to see! – Gin Tan (Councilor)
This is one (if not only) time I will send out an All Staff email. I just wanted to say Bravo and Thank You to everyone involved in the Honk production. It is by far the best school production I've seen. Kudos to the actors, band, choir, stage hands, tech crew, volunteers, and of course Hannah and all of the teachers that made this show possible. - Dan Dudash (Assistant Principal, Elementary School)
Absolutely top notch directing, teaching, coaching, collaboration, and support for this musical and, as always, bringing out the very best from your students. GREAT job!!
Gary (MS/HS Principal)
