Seven Levels of Energy inspired by Jacques Lecoq
Adjective Name Game. A fun exercise to introduce each other and lean each other's names.
Sound-Movement Train. Students spontaneously create sounds and movement in the moment.
Extraordinary Shapes. A movement warm-up inspired by Viewpoints (Anne Bogart).
Physical Theater and AcroYoga composition. Students learned physical theater techniques - mirror, magic finger and extraordinary shapes - that they fused with an AcroYoga flow.
Partner Yoga Poses. Students learned basic partner poses that they weaved into a movement sequence.
Stage Combat (Greek Theater). Inspired by the movie, "Troy," the students created a stage combat sequence between Achilles and Hector.
Zen Rock Garden. A physical theater exercise that combines elements of Viewpoints.
Spatial Relationships. A physical theater exercise that shows the different spatial relationships in Viewpoints.
Character Improv. Students spontaneously chose a character and performs a short line representing that character.
Mask Convention. Basic exercise that shows a sequence of movement that helps young actors get acquinted with the trestle mask.
Yoga in the Classroom. A short guided yoga practice with a focus on breathing.
